Where to go for aspiring composer in Chicago?

Does anyone know where an aspiring composer in Chicago should look towards? Like, as far as workshops, seminars, classes, or even fellow composers for collaboration or feedback or something?

Andy, if you are interested in creating a modern musical with modern rhythms, state of the art instrumentation, and arrangements, this may not be the group for you. I strongly suspect that these people do not have the background for modern music. I recall several years ago, the Director informed me in writing that all music must be composed, arranged and performed on an acoustic piano. "No synthesizers allowed in the theatre." Obviously, the acoustic piano is highly limited in its expression for modern music. Get the details.
