The Australian cast of SOUTH PACIFIC have just celebrated their 100th performance of the Bartlett Sher revival that has won over critics and audience alike. Premiering in Sydney at the Opera House, and currently in its last weeks in Melbourne, SOUTH PACIFIC will soon move to Brisbane to give our northern theatre lovers a taste of the hit show.

Last month we gave you a glimpse into the brains of three of its stars - Daniel Koek, Eddie Perfect and Kate Ceberano, who as Lieutenant Cable, Seabee Luther Billis and Bloody Mary each bring their talent, experience and star-wattage to the stage. Joined by Lisa McCune, Teddy Tahu Rhodes and a phenomenal supporting cast and crew, Daniel, Eddie and Kate have helped to make SOUTH PACIFIC a defining musical of our time, some 60 years after the musical was first performed down under.

Here at BroadwayWorld Australia we say "Happy One Hundred!" to the cast and crew of SOUTH PACIFIC, and bring you part two of our catch-up with Daniel, Eddie and Kate (all of whom still sing in the shower!)

This Is Your Brain On Musical Theatre - The SOUTH PACIFIC edition (Part Two)

What book/TV show/movie is a musical just waiting to happen?

Daniel: Labyrinth - I'll play David Bowie thanks!

Eddie: I'm surprised no one has adapted Working Dog's The Castle into a musical. Isn't that a really obvious idea?

Kate: Cheri ... Colette's novel.

Do you still sing in the shower when you sing for a living?!

Daniel: Lol not as often ... but I find myself singing Adele a lot at the moment … I must be missing the UK!

Eddie: Yes. Everyone sounds better in the shower. And the car.

Kate: Does a cat have a bum ... bien sur! Best place TO sing :-)

and finally, borrowing from James Lipton via Bernard Pivot:

What sound or noise do you love?

Daniel: I love the sound of waves crashing on a beach ... followed closely by coffee percolating!

Eddie: The sound of a champagne cork popping. That's the best sound. It's instantly gratifying.

Kate: The sound of my daughter dreaming ... She actually laughs in her sleep! I wept the first time I heard it. The only place I can't protect her, so I imagined she was somewhere safe!
