Geoffrey Rush leads John Frost's production of Sondheim's A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, which opened in Melbourne Saturday, October 27 at Her Majesty's Theatre and runs for twelve weeks. The show is directed by Simon Phillips. Watch the video for highlights from the red carpet, curtain call and audience members' reactions to the show!

Joining Rush (The Diary of a Madman, Exit the King, "Shine") is Michael Butel as Hysterium, Shane Bourne as Senex, Hugh Sheridan as Hero, Christie Whelan as Philia, Adam Murphy as Miles Gloriosus, Bob Hornery as Erronius, Magda Szubanski as Domina and Gerry Connolly as Marcus Lycus.

The costume and set design is by Gabriela Tylesova, choreography by Andrew Hallsworth, musical direction by Matthew Frank and musical supervision by Guy Simpson. John Frost, who produced the Australian productions of Wicked, Phantom of the Opera and Chicago, is producing the Melbourne production.
