Listen: Sarah Paulson Calls Out Trish Hawkins For Criticizing Her Performance in TALLEY'S FOLLY

Sarah Paulson hasn't forgotten the actress who criticized a performance she gave over 10 years ago, and she has spoken out about it on a recent episode of Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett’s “Smartless” podcast.

In the episode, Paulson talked about an incident that happened following a performance of the play Talley's Folly, when actress Trish Hawkins, who had previously played the role that Paulson was playing at the time, criticized her performance.

"She looked at me up and down and then she went, ‘Your dress is yellow. Mine was pink.’ And I thought, ‘What?'," Paulson recalled of Hawkins' visit backstage following the play.

"Cut to two days later, I got an email that was six pages long of notes and a communication to me about what she had done when she had done the play, what she recommended I do,” Paulson shared. “It was outrageous. It was really outrageous. Trish Hawkins, I have not forgotten it, and I hope to see you never.”

Sarah Paulson is currently starring in Appropriate on Broadway. She last appeared onstage in New York in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s production of Lanford Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize winning play Talley’s Folly in spring 2013.
